Pune Pharmacist Loses Rs 95 Lakh in Medical Store Deal
Hyderabad: In a significant crackdown on drug peddling, Bowenpally police, in collaboration with the sleuths of Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing, seized 8.5 kilograms of amphetamine worth Rs 8.5 crore on Sunday evening. The drugs were recovered from three individuals traveling from Sangareddy to Hyderabad.
According to PTI, police said drug abuse and consequent addiction is rising in society leading to disastrous consequences for the family as a unit and the society in general in recent times.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) requested the public to refrain from substance abuse and advised parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children to ensure they do not fall prey to drugs.
